biography

Kevin Thomas Barnett worked in skateboarding for over a decade, making videos for Toy Machine Bloodsucking Skateboard Company.  In 2005, he won the Best Video of the Year from Transworld Skateboarding Magazine for the full length piece “Good and Evil” and was nominated for the award for each subsequent release, “Suffer the Joy” and “Brainwash”. 

In 2014 he was selected to take part in RED Digital Cinema’s REDirect Project, showcasing the vision of skateboarding’s top filmmakers. 

Kevin co-edited the surf film "View From A Blue Moon", awarded video of the year by Surfer Magazine in 2015 and deemed "the best surf film ever made" by Stab Magazine.

In 2019 Kevin was hired as an editor and cinematographer for Deloitte Digital’s newly formed Film Experience team and was part of several Telly award winning projects.

Since its inception in late 2021, Kevin was pivotal in The Rolling Hills Post Production agency. He has headed up duties as the senior editor, personally taking on multiple award winning projects.

Kevin has an MFA in filmmaking specializing in editing and directing from the London Film School and worked on commercial and corporate pieces for Harley Davidson, Warner/Discovery, Hurley, Golf Digest, Nike, Qualcomm, Valero, Oakley, ESPN, Red Bull, Monster, Quiksilver, RVCA, Time Out, Casey’s General Store, Salesforce, Anthem, Citi and Deloitte.
